Eerste twee weken

Ciao a tutti,
I am here in Perugia for about 2 weeks now. I have flow to Perugia from Weeze (Germany) together with my boyfriend at Friday Augustus 28. Everything went well. When we got off the plane, we already felt the heat of Italy at that time of the year.
I am renting a room through Student Living. This is a useful organization for students who are looking for a room. We have taken a taxi from the airport to the street where I live here in Perugia. I live very close to the city centre. After we had met the homeowner and he had explained somethings( in Italian) we could get used to the Italian life. (The heat, the people and to explore the surroundings).
We have done the necessary groceries. What stands out is that the products in the supermarkets are way more expensive than in The Netherlands. In the evening we went out for dinner and what stands out is that going out for dinner is relative cheap. It seems to be normal to go out for dinner a lot here in Italy and it is also common to eat late compared to The Netherlands. What also stand out is that Italian people almost never stop at crosswalks.
The Italian language course was started at the CLA at September 1. This is a italian language course for three weeks. After this, the normal lessons will begin.
We have explored the city and have eaten melon with ham and bruschetta units the pst of September.
The Italian language courses are going well. We have a really goof teacher. We are talking always italian and no word English is spoken. We are going to the chocolate factory of Perugia at Thursday. We have got a test coming Monday and after that, this course is ended.
Last weekend we went to 'Lago Trasimeno' (with my boyfriend and Paul). From Lago Trasimeno we went to a little island. This was a lot of fun. However, the journey by train was less fun. We had bought tickets and I had said before, that public transport is really cheap here in Italy. We had forgotten to validate the tickets an because of that we got a fine.
This weekend I went to Firenze with Paul. This was nice, but very busy and it was very hot. Eventhough it was fun. It took us about 2 hours to get to Firenze. It was not that bad when you can sleep in the train like me.
I'll try to keep my stories a little bit shorter next time.
